Hi, I’m Jessica, the happy mom, and writer behind This Happy Mommy. Becoming a mom has been exciting, thrilling, and even a little scary at times. And it has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined.
Before I was a mom, I was able to check off those proverbial boxes. Great husband – check. Good job – check. Life seemed to be on track. But deep down inside, in that little place you don’t always listen to, I knew that in my day-to-day work life, I felt like a square peg in a round hole.
On the outside, everything looked right. It looked like everything was where it was supposed to be. But the truth is, I was going through the actions without truly enjoying what I was doing.
When I became a mom, I felt like I finally found my niche. A square hole for my square peg. Don’t get me wrong, my daily life is not all rainbows and sunshine, but I feel like I am finally doing what I am meant to do. I was meant to be a mom.

Becoming a mom was not just a gift to have this beautiful baby (one then two) in my life. It gave me a chance to stop and think about myself. While the baby was napping, I not only had a chance to take a break (and maybe have a nap, too), but I started to think, “What do I want to do?”
I was so happy in my “new” mommy life. I wanted to help other people be as happy as I am. Helping YOU make healthy and delicious meals, helping YOU make crafts, helping YOU make gifts that your family and friends can cherish for years to come – this is what I love to do!
When I can help you make a wonderful meal for your family, or make a gift that brings them smiles, laughter, and tears, it means so much to me. I can help you add a little more happiness to your life and share it with those around you.
Whether you’re a mom, dad, sister, brother, or friend, I want to help make your day easier, with healthy tasty recipes, crafts, and gifts.
The truth is, I am just so excited that you’re here. I have so much to share and I can’t wait to share it all with you. So, thank you for being here!

Gifts
There is nothing like giving a gift that is truly from the heart. Making these gifts all started when my mom turned 60. I knew I needed to give her a special gift – a gift, unlike anything I had given her before.
When I tried to think of the perfect gift, all that came to mind were the fun (and sometimes zany) times we shared together. The more memories I thought of, the clearer the gift became. I would give her a gift filled with 60 things we love about her – one memory (or thing) for each of her 60 years.
Making this gift was a joy, but giving it to my mom was even better. On the day of her birthday, with the framed gift resting on her lap, I watched as she read the gift aloud. She laughed at the funny memories and teared up at the sentimental ones. She probably read through the list at least five times before proudly displaying it on her wall. (You can read more about 60 Things We Love About You)
After making this gift and sharing it with my readers. So many of you wanted to make gifts like this for the special people in your lives. And readers asked for gifts for more milestone birthdays (30, 40, 50,60, 70, 80, 90, 100) mother’s day, father’s day, and many other happy occasions. Our shop grew and grew and grew. And we continue to make new gifts designed for the special people in your life.
If you’re looking for the perfect, unforgettable gift. We have you covered! With a collection of over 40 different gifts filled with your own words. You can find the perfect design for the special people in your life. There’s nothing like a gift that shares all of the reasons you love and care about someone. When a gift is filled with your own words,it is truly one-of-a-kind.
