Light and creamy smoothie that tastes like a perfectly sweet apple pie treat.
A couple of weeks ago, my family went apple picking. It was our first time taking my three-year-old daughter to an apple orchard. I loved seeing the excitement in her eyes when we first pulled up. She couldn’t believe that there were so many trees. “Each one has apples?” she asked with big, bright curious eyes.

We hopped out of the car and started to explore. There were rows and rows of trees. Each one had a sign, stating which apples were planted there. Even though I am an admitted foodie, I had no idea there were so many types of apples. Each one looked more delicious than the next. There were green ones, red and green ones, red and orange ones, and those classically tasty bright red ones. I wish I took note of all of their names. They all sounded so tasty.
While we began filling up bags of fruit, we were also on the lookout for a perfect apple for my daughter to try. There is nothing like eating an apple right off the tree. It’s fresh, delicious, and wonderfully crunchy.
We walked and walked until we found the perfect one – red, round and just the right size. She wanted one that would fit perfectly in her toddler-sized hands.”It’s so yummy!!” she exclaimed mid-chew. By the end of our visit, we left with bags of apples and bellies filled with a sampling of the delicious fruit.

I’ve always enjoyed baking with apples. From Apple Pie Cake Bites to Apple Banana Bread and Apple Pie Spiced Mug Cake to Apple Honey Cake, I just can’t get enough of those juicy fruits. This time, I wanted to create the amazing flavours of apple pie, without all the baking. And so, I decided to whip up a smoothie.
Naturally sweetened with banana and maple syrup, Apple Pie Smoothie is a tasty way to enjoy the flavours of fall. While there’s no crust in this smoothie, the mixture of ingredients replicates the delicious apple flavours of the pie. With a mix of cinnamon, allspice, apples and maple syrup, you can sip all of the tasty sweetness. Add in some milk, yogurt and ice and you have one slurpable sweet treat.
Apple Pie Smoothie is rich, creamy, and totally kid friendly. I never imagined that something this sweet and creamy could be low fat, somehow it is. Every sip of this thick, creamy smoothie tastes like perfection. The combination of sweet apples, vanilla Greek yogurt, maple syrup and spices, makes this one amazing drink.

This looks delish- a must try! I read somewhere that if you tried a different variety of apple every single day, it would take you 20-some-odd years to actually try every variety. Who knew?
Wow!! That’s so interesting!
Making this for sure!! ?
That’s so great! Hope you enjoy it. ?
Yum!!! Quick question: does this call for a whole banana? I see 1/2 banana listed twice. I’m definitely going to try this one! Great idea!
Thanks! Yes, it’s 1/2 banana. I’ve updated the recipe, so it only appears one time. Hope you enjoy it! ?
I don’t usually lIke smoothies, but this one looks delicious!:) Could dark brown sugar or honey serve as a substitute for the maple syrup?
Thanks!! I’ve never made it with brown sugar or honey, but it sounds good to me. Hope you enjoy it! ?
