Enjoy a Quick and Easy Mug Cake

If you are looking for a quick, easy, and tasty dessert, mug cakes are a perfect dessert. They are sweet and oh so easy to make. You can prepare, cook, and eat them in the same dish. Perfect, right?!!

Every step uses just one mug. That’s why it’s called a mug cake – one mug for one cake. So, there is virtually no cleanup.

But don’t let all of this easy-breezy business make you think that you are sacrificing flavor. Apple Pie Spiced Mug Cake bursts with all the flavor of a freshly baked apple pie. Even with its small size, every bite tastes like it’s warm and fresh out of the oven.

On its own, this tender cake is pure comfort food, but when you add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it adds another dimension of flavor. Mellow and creamy, vanilla ice cream softens the savory spice of the cake.  A la mode or on its own, this cake is one tasty dessert.

What Makes this Apple Pie Spiced Mug Cake healthier?

One great thing about mug cakes is portion size. It really is the perfect size for one person. So even if it’s just too good, you never have to worry about eating the whole cake. It’s all for you!

Apple Pie Spiced Mug Cake is also a healthier cake. Unlike other apple cakes, this cake is made without butter, cream, oil, or eggs. Instead, it is given its rich texture from a combination of milk and apple sauce. Healthier and tasty, this is one amazing cake. It’s so perfectly decadent, you won’t miss the butter, cream, oil, or eggs. It’s delicious!

How to Make Apple Pie Spiced Mug Cake

Let’s get cooking! Find your favorite mug. It is about to be filled with a yummy mini cake. Add flour, sugar, apple sauce, milk, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and salt. Mix in the apples to form the batter. Since it’s made without egg, you can lick the spoon or fork clean. I always do!

Now all that’s left is baking it in the microwave. In less than 2 minutes it will be ready. Since all microwaves are different, I recommend that you start by cooking it on high for 1 minute. Continue to cook it for 10 seconds at a time until it is ready. You’ll know it’s finished when the top is firm and a toothpick comes out clean.

Finally, it’s the best step. And now…

Let’s eat some cake!
