Even though it’s made with avocado, Avocado Basil Hummus definitely does not have a guacamole flavour. Instead, the avocado perfectly replaces oil in traditional hummus recipes. It adds a distinct and fresh flavour that’s amplified by the fresh basil, lemon and garlic.

Chickpeas are super healthy. They’re high in protein, fibre, calcium and copper, which helps your hair and skin stay healthy and beautiful. Avocados are also high in fibre, healthy fats and a variety of vitamins and minerals. This fruit is so healthy, it should come with a label saying, “Super delicious and fabulous for your hair and skin.” Basically, eating Avocado Basil Hummus is the tastiest part of any beauty routine.

Avocado Basil Hummus is super simple to make, especially when you use canned chickpeas. Once they are drained and rinsed, the chickpeas are ready to eat. What’s easier than that?

Before throwing all of the ingredients in the food processor, I like to sauté the garlic first. Garlic is a great addition to any hummus, but it can sometimes be a little strong and overpowering. Sautéing the garlic softens its strong flavours and gives it a gentler, nuttier taste, which truly enhances the overall hummus.

You can serve Avocado Basil Hummus with a topping of chickpeas, paprika or even a drizzle of oil. Whichever way you serve it, this hummus is sure to please.
