Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Banana Muffins are light and completely delicious. The combination of banana, maple syrup, apple sauce, and vanilla makes these muffins a truly tasty treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup banana, mashed
  • 1/3 cup apple sauce
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons fat free vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C).
  2. In a large bowl combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a smaller bowl, combine banana, apple sauce, maple syrup, egg whites, yogurt, and vanilla.
  4. Pour banana mixture into flour one. Stir to combine. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Coat muffin tin with cooking spray. Fill each tin.
  6. Bake muffins for 20 to 25 minutes, or until muffin tops are lightly browned.
  7. Let muffins cool for 5 minutes before removing from tin.
  8. Enjoy!
