Ingredients

  • 1 pounds sirloin steak, sliced across the grain
  • 1 bunch of broccoli, cut into florets (approximately 12 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (230°C).
  2. Prepare two sheet pans lined with parchment paper. Place the steak on one pan and the broccoli on the other.
  3. In a small bowl combine soy, sugar, oil, garlic, seeds, and ginger to make sauce. Pour half of the sauce onto the steak and half onto the broccoli. Mix to evenly cover.
  4. Bake the broccoli for 15 minutes.
  5. Add the steak to the oven and bake with the broccoli for 5 minutes. Cook the steak until it reaches your desired level of doneness, reaching an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare, 160°F (71°C) for medium, or 170°F (77°C) for well-done. Let the steak rest for a couple minutes before serving.

Notes

You can serve it with sliced green onion.
