Skinny Brownie Mug Cake is a triple chocolate treat. Each bite is jam-packed with melt-in-your-mouth chocolatey goodness. With lightly sweetened chocolate batter, ooey-gooey chocolate chips, and a rich chocolate frosting, this is one slam-dunk way to feed a chocolate craving.
Indulge in Chocolate
The combination of cocoa powder, brown sugar, maple syrup, Greek yogurt, and milk creates a perfectly creamy, lightly sweetened batter, full of heavenly chocolatey flavor. The chocolate chips amplify the chocolate-flavored batter, creating a truly perfect bite.
The frosting is also a healthier treat. Made with avocado, cocoa powder, and maple syrup, you can feel good as you devour or savor this sweet chocolate treat. With or without the frosting, Skinny Brownie Mug Cake is a tasty way to beat any chocolate craving.

What Makes this Chocolate Mug Cake Skinny?
Not only is this brownie single-serving, but it is truly guilt-free. Skinny Brownie Mug Cake is low fat and lower sugar than most brownie recipes. Most of the sugar is replaced with maple syrup, which is lower in calories and has less sugar per gram than refined sugars. Real maple syrup is perfectly sweet, you won’t taste the difference.

How to Make Skinny Brownie Mug Cake
There’s nothing like making a dessert that you can prepare, cook, and eat in the same dish. That’s what makes mug cakes so perfect. Every little step only uses one dish and that dish is dishwasher safe. So, there is virtually no cleanup.
Let’s get to it! Find your favorite mug because it is about to be filled with your favorite mini cake. Add flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir it all together before adding in the rest of the ingredients. Finally, add maple syrup, yogurt, milk, and vanilla. You can mix it all together and watch the batter come together. Since it’s made without egg, you can lick the spoon or fork clean. I always do!
Before popping it in the microwave, whip up the icing on this mini cake. The chocolate frosting is so worth adding. It gives it an added dose of chocolate. Plus, with only three ingredients, it’s really easy to make. Combine half an avocado with cocoa powder and maple syrup. You’ll want to make sure your avocado is ripe, so you can mash it smoothly into the cocoa powder.

If you haven’t used avocado in icing before, don’t worry. It will not taste like guacamole. You won’t even taste the avocado. It perfectly combines with the cocoa powder and maple syrup to create a rich and creamy icing.
Now that you’re icing and batter is ready, you can cook the mug cake in your microwave. In less than 2 minutes it will be ready. As soon as it finishes cooking, top the Skinny Brownie Mug Cake with chocolate frosting. Now, it’s ready to eat!

What are you waiting for? I think I hear chocolate calling your name! It’s definitely calling mine.
