Here are some of our favourite Spooktacular Halloween Crafts for the Family. Hope that you enjoy making them as much as we did.
Trick-Or-Treat Halloween Spiders
Every year we host a Halloween party at our home. It’s a small dinner where both sets of grandparents come over for a spooktacular meal. The kids wear costumes and we take lots of pictures. Everyone gets into the Halloween spirit.
When we set the table, each person had a spider on their plate, that’s the trick. But underneath the spider, there’s a little treat, a mini chocolate bar. So, they add some trick-or-treat fun to the meal. And of course, Halloween and candy go hand-in-hand, so why not start the meal with a little piece of chocolate. Right?

Glam Halloween Pumpkins
Ghost and ghoul decor are everywhere this time of year, but I tend to enjoy a different view on the festivities. Why not add a little glam and sparkle to the holiday. This season can be glittery and sparkly too!
Glam Halloween Pumpkins are really easy to make. With only a few items, you can make beautiful, kid-friendly pumpkins. These decorative pumpkins are a great, safe alternative to carving pumpkins. My then two-year-old daughter helped with every step of the pumpkin glam-ing process. Together we painted the pumpkins and added the glitter stickers.
Since that Halloween four years ago, these pumpkins are always a part of our table decorations. They are probably my favourite Halloween decorations of all time.

Painted Acorns
Bring some of the fall beauty inside with this fun craft. It all starts with collecting acorns. We found a bunch of acorns near my daughter’s favourite neighbourhood park. There were big ones, small ones and all of them were covered with tree sap.
We brought them home and placed them on a tinfoil covered baking sheet. This protected our counters from the acorn’s sap and then we placed them in the oven to make sure that these outdoor beauties weren’t housing any unwanted visitors. With the acorns baking in the oven, the sap hardened and my home filled with the smells of a sweet, fresh forest.
Once the acorns are baked clean, they’re ready to paint. We painted them in four different colours – yellow, red, orange and purple. There’s nothing like seeing the beautiful shades of autumn in your home. It adds warmth, beauty and kids can create it too.

Jack-O’-Lantern Jars
Celebrate Halloween with some cheerful pumpkin inspired jars. With only a few items, you can make beautiful, kid-friendly Jack-O’-Lantern Jars. If you don’t have jars at home, you may be able to find some at a local craft or dollar store. Or, you can always recycle some of your own.
With a couple of sponge brushes and some festive fall colours, you can give some regular jars a fun splash of colour. We chose to paint them red, orange and yellow, but you can use any colours. Green, blue, or even purple could also be a fun choice.
To turn the Jack-O’-Lantern Jars into a centrepiece for our party, we filled each jar with a different type of chocolate. Yes, we love our chocolate! But you can fill them with candy, treats, or even tea lights, to give them a luminary effect. However you use them, Jack-O’-Lantern Jars are sure to add some Halloween festiveness to your home.

Halloween Monster Cups

For our Halloween party this year, we made these adorable monster cups. Instead of creating our own craft from scratch, the kids wanted to make these.
We bought a small craft pack that was filled with everything we needed to make witch, werewolf, and vampire cups. It came with cups and all the shapes needed to make the characters. With a simple picture as our guide, we made these Halloween Monster Cups.
When they were done, we used them to decorate our Halloween party table. We placed one character cup on each plate. It was a sweet decoration, treat, and a holiday-themed takeaway. Who doesn’t love such a versatile gift!
Of course, we wanted to make it even sweeter. So, we placed three mini chocolate bars in each cup. That way everyone could enjoy some tasty trick-or-treat fun. If you look closely, some of the cups even say “Trick or Treat!” And it’s filled with something good to eat. How perfect is that!

Whether you choose loveable monsters, nature-filled crafts, painted fun, or glam pumpkins, Spooktacular Halloween Crafts for the Family are sure to add some fun this time of year. Enjoy the crafting!
