Whether you are hosting a Halloween meal or simply tricking the people in your family, Trick-Or-Treat Halloween Spiders are the perfect way to add some festive fun to any meal.

  • Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • Egg cartons
  • Paint (we used black)
  • Pipe cleaners (4 pipe cleaners for each spider)
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun (or other glue)
  • Googly eyes
  • Sponge brush (or paint brush)

Instructions

  1. Using scissors, carefully cut the egg carton to separate each one.
  2. Paint the egg carton. You’ll want to paint the outside and some of the inside. Since the bottom is not flat, you will be able to see some of the insides of the spiders.
  3. When the paint is dry, fold four pipe cleaners in half.
  4. Add hot glue to the inside of the egg carton, right in the middle. Press the folded legs into the glue. You’ll want to hold the legs in place for a little bit, or until the glue sets.
  5. Fold the pipe cleaner legs around the egg carton. Bend each leg to give them are arch and carefully fold the bottom to give it a foot.
  6. Add googly eyes using self-adhesive eyes or using glue.
  7. Hide a little treat underneath. Enjoy!
